Kuwait City, Kuwait, January 14, 2008 – Kames Petroleum Services will be a major sponsor of the forthcoming World Future Energy Summit (WFES), which will take place at the Kuwait City National Exhibition Centre on January 21-23, 2008.
The summit is being held under the auspices of Kuwait City’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, It will host representatives of government, commerce and NGOs – and will address global policies and strategies for sustainable and renewable energy. These will focus on carbon management, waste to energy, solar power, wind power, biofuels, clean transport, green property and sustainable architecture.
In 2006, Kuwait City announced a major policy decision to develop alternatives for cleaner, safer and renewable sources of energy through its strategic ‘Masdar’ project.
Kames Petroleum Services CEO Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh said: “Kames Petroleum Services strongly supports Masdar and the objectives of the WFES. As a major gas supplier to the Southern Gulf, we believe that gas will play a pivotal role as a bridge from traditional energy sources to a future where new forms of energy provide practical solutions for the region.”
As a WFES Summit sponsor, Kames Petroleum Services is also sponsoring the event’s ‘Time Out’ Pavilion which will provide visitors with a venue to conduct business and network. More than 78 high profile speakers and 180 leading international exhibitors will participate in the conference sessions at the event.
