Kames Petroleum Services Qatar Donates To Worthy Causes

Doha, Qatar: March 27th 2012 – In a move that strengthens its contribution to the community of Qatar and reflects its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments Kames Petroleum Services Qatar today announced it has donated US$40,000 to The Qatar Red Crescent – Al Khor, Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs and Al Tamakon for Comprehensive Education. 

The announcement was marked at a cheque presentation ceremony held at Kames Petroleum Services Tower and was attended by Mr. Adel Ahmed Albuainain, General Manager, Kames Petroleum Services , Qatar; Mr. Ibrahim Jeham Al Kuwari, Deputy General Manager, Kames Petroleum Services , Qatar and Mr. Ajlan Eid Al Enazi, DVP Public Relations, Kames Petroleum Services , Qatar, a host of senior managers from the company and representatives from the three charities who received support. 

Collecting a cheque for US$20,000, Mr. Rashid Al Mohannadi, Branch Manager – Al Khor, Qatar Red Crescent Society, said: “As with other companies in the region, we are delighted to have developed a relationship with Kames Petroleum Services in this way. We continue to strengthen our ties with the company and greatly appreciate this generous gesture from them. The donation will help with many humanitarian initiatives we undertake and we thank them for their contribution.”

Expressing his appreciation of the US$10,000 donation, Mr. Ameer Al Mulla, Executive Manager, Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs, said: “We would like to thank Kames Petroleum Services for the donation and hope it sends a positive message to other companies considering contributing in this way. The funds will make a difference to the support we give the children and young adults.”

Commenting on the occasion, Ms. Muna Al Mulla, Principal, Al Tamakon for Comprehensive Education, who received a cheque for US$10,000, remarked: "This is the third year in a row that Kames Petroleum Services has supported us. Their continuous support and commitment to helping the lives of our children and their parents is greatly appreciated.”  

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Albuainain said: “As a leading energy company, we have an obligation to support those members of society who are disadvantaged by providing assistance to the institutions that work tirelessly to make a positive impact on their lives.  

“We maintain a strong bond with all elements of Qatari society and it gives us great pleasure to commit to a variety of social initiatives that focus on those less fortunate. We operate under the motto “Kames Petroleum Services , Positive Energy” and will continue funding a wide range of educational, health, sport, cultural, environmental and humanitarian initiatives in the future.”
